Junior Sailors at the Melges 32 Gold Cup

At Sail22 we strongly support Junior sailors and keeping them excited about sailing. What a better way to do just that then to take them out on a Melges 32 with some of the best sailors in the world? We think it's great that the Melges 32 Gold Cup has integrated a "take a Junior racing day" from its inception. Each year a Junior sailor from the Lauderdale Yacht Club sails with each team on the Saturday of the event. We're not sure who actually has more fun...the teams or the kids based on the comments we heard from both groups! The day started off with light air and ended with some great breeze to give the kids a taste of everything the Melges 32 can do. Here are some shots from the Junior Day from this year's event.
