The Melges 24 Worlds are fast approaching and we are looking forward to it after a great Bacardi Miami Sailing Week! Just a friendly reminder of the Sail22 Melges 24 Corpus Christi Worlds Tuning Event to be held April 30-May 1. We currently have one boat registered and we really need at least ten boats to run a Worlds tuning event. Teams not doing the Worlds in Corpus are still invited and encouraged to participate. Please let us know if you are planning to attend, even if you have not registered. Please spread the word and pass this on to others who may be interested. We look forward to seeing teams in Charleston in a few weeks for another great event. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or suggestions for the tuning event.
Sail22 will be hosting our first tuning event of 2011 in Coconut Grove, FL in conjunction with Shake-A-Leg Miami and Melges February 10-11, 2011. This event will give the Melges 20's and 24's doing the Miami Winter Regatta LOTS of practice prior to the start of it! This will also be a great session for teams training for the Melges 24 Worlds in Corpus Christi who may not be able to make the entire winter series, but want to have additional training time. The format will be a half-day on February 10th with lots and lots of starts and short course racing. Day 2 will be a two start format with longer course racing. Debriefs will be held each day. The Notice of Race is here and registration is here. The entry fee is $150. Make sure to register before February 1st to avoid the $50 late entry fee.

Sail22 is excited to officially announce registration is now open for the Sail22 Melges 24 Chicago Tuning Regatta to be held August 6-8, 2010 and hosted by Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club in Montrose Harbor. We were asked by several Mid-West teams if we could put on a similar event to the Sail22 Melges 24 Worlds Tuning Regatta we held last October in Annapolis, Maryland and jumped at the chance. We had a blast putting on the regatta for the teams and had a lot of great feedback from the event. We plan to make the August event even better and are looking forward to having some great teams in attendance!
Check out the NOR and more detailed information for the event here or by clicking on the Chicago Tuning Regatta tab at the top of this page.
